Sawyer tied for Skyline Brittany Club Show Dog of the Year in 2010,
was #23 Brittany Gun Dog in the Country for 2009, and Skyline Brittany Club Gun Dog of the Year in 2009

Although initially hoping for a liver female, I decided to pick Sawyer, and not just because there were no liver females in the litter! He had so much attitude, he demanded my attention the minute I walked in the door each time I went to visit the litter.  I was intent to get the most independent puppy, the first one out of the whelping box. Sawyer was that rambunctious, outgoing little guy and he quickly earned a place at FireStarter Kennels.

Sawyer is very amped up in the field and in the show ring, but he's very calm and sweet around the house. He always has some kind of funny antic and never fails to make people smile. He is a true pleasure to have around, whether you're out hunting or watching a movie on the couch.

Sawyer is stylish and intense on point, shows a strong desire, and runs hard. He earned his JH title easily, aquired his Field Championship title at 3.5 years old, completed his Dual Championship in November 2010, and finished his Amateur Field Championship at 7 years old in 2012.

Sawyer is now retired but his legacy lives on.  There are many offspring and grandkids of his out of show, field trial, and hunting females.
They are doing well in both the field and the show ring.  Some of his winning and placing offspring include;

GCh. FireStarter’s Clear Winter Night ~ Grand Champion and multiple juvenile field placements, proven producer too!
FC FireStarter's Country Girl ~ Paige is retired now, but just needed 2 single show points to get her DC!
Moonshine Moxie Gal ~field placements 2 points towards her FC, and Idaho Juv. dog of the year 2015.
Ch HCK Love Me Tender ~ Elvis is a great hunting dog now!
Rocklan's Strait and Narrow ~ show pointed including a major
Goldrush Brittany to the Max ~ field placing.
